About Zaleekhah

We formed Zaleekhah in August 2004 after meeting in a class in Belper.

We have been dancing together now for over 3 years and love the fact that we get so much out of performing at different events. 
We have met some amazing and inspiring people and had countless unique experiences
which we wouldn't have had if we weren't Zaleekhah.

Our most supported charities are the Breast Cancer appeals.

We combine traditional dance styles with both traditional and modern music, taking our influences from all over the world
but keeping the roots of our choreographies firmly in the Middle Eastern style. 
We are always looking for new techniques and styles to incorporate into performances, in the dance as well as in costuming and music.

We are based near Belper, Derbyshire, and perform at local events (indoors and outdoors)
although are happy to go further afield if given plenty of notice.
